NEFCA HOSTS WINTER GATHERING TO RECONNECT MEMBERSAND VENDOR PARTNERS IN BOSTON

Boston, MA — March 10, 2026 — The New England Floor Coverers Association (NEFCA)
recently hosted a winter gathering for its members and vendor partners at Banners
Kitchen & Tap in downtown Boston, bringing together more than 125 flooring industry
professionals to kick off 2026 and reconnect the regional flooring community.

The event marked one of the largest in-person gatherings for NEFCA members in recent
years, with many attendees noting it was the first time they had been in the same room
with industry colleagues since before the COVID-19 pandemic.

David Ruggieri, Board President of NEFCA, opened the meeting by welcoming
attendees and highlighting the association’s renewed focus on collaboration and
industry growth.
“In the post-COVID era, NEFCA is committed to becoming even more active with our
members and vendor partners,” said Ruggieri.

“By working together, we can strengthen
relationships and continue securing opportunities for union flooring contractors
throughout the greater Boston area.”

Ruggieri then introduced Randy Weis, Executive Director of NEFCA, who shared updates
on several initiatives currently underway within the organization. Weis highlighted a
strategic refresh taking place behind the scenes, including the development of a new
logo and website, along with plans to increase engagement with both the flooring
community and the broader public.

The association also plans to expand outreach efforts to build greater awareness of the
value of union floor covering installation and the skilled workforce that supports the
industry.

Founded in 1973, NEFCA is a member-driven trade association dedicated to promoting
union floor covering installation throughout New England. The organization supports
training and safety programs provided through Local 2168, helping ensure a highly
skilled workforce for the region’s commercial flooring industry.
Today, NEFCA includes 18 member companies and is supported by more than 50 vendor
partners, all working together to advance professionalism, safety, and quality within the
flooring trade.
