NEFCA Contractors Take Top Honors at Local 2168 Flooring Olympics
Floorcoverers Local 2168 recently brought members, families, and industry partners together for its annual Family Day and Flooring Olympics Installation Contest.
Twelve talented flooring installers competed in the contest, demonstrating the skill, precision, and craftsmanship that define our industry. NEFCA Board firms delivered an outstanding performance, with their installers capturing the first four places:
- First Place: Chris Doucette, Pavilion
- Second Place: Kevin Fuentes, Allegheny
- Third Place: Jonathan Osorio, JC Floors
- Fourth Place: Lauren Powers, Capital
NEFCA was proud to contribute $5,500 in prize money for the first-, second-, and third-place winners. In recognition of the hard work and commitment demonstrated by every competitor, NEFCA also provided each participant with a $200 gift toward the purchase of new work boots.
The event was well attended, and the beautiful weather made it an especially enjoyable day for competitors, families, and guests. Beyond the friendly competition, the Flooring Olympics offered an opportunity to celebrate the highly trained professionals whose expertise and dedication continue to move the flooring industry forward.
Congratulations to Chris, Kevin, Jonathan, and Lauren on their exceptional finishes, as well as to all twelve installers who participated. NEFCA also extends its appreciation to Local 2168 for organizing a memorable event that celebrated craftsmanship, community, and the future of the flooring trade.
